So How Do I Unblock Facebook
When first starting out to unblock facebook as a lead source, it is important that you increase your friend base on your personal account. Not to spam them with business messages or links, but to make friends and build a relationship with them and maybe invite them to like you business page.
Your business or Fan page is where you can promote your business, however, if you use it to spam people you will never get another visit from them and they will for sure block notifications from you. If you provide value, training, insight, motivation or inspiration – you know, the whole attraction marketing principal.
If your goal is simply to get your link in front of them within the first two messages people will run away. Give people a chance to get to know you, people join people not programs. You might get lucky and sign a few, but in the long run you need to build relationships with people or ultimately you will be left out in the cold.
Before posting anything on your status update, think to yourself, would I be pissed off seeing this on my wall or would I be compelled to read, like comment and share it? If people see you as a source of good information who provides value 90% of the time they will be more receptive to offers when you make them.

Unblock Facebook Leads – Do's and Don'ts
Always send a quick note, personalize it from something on their page before adding friend. Always respond to their return messages leaving an open ended question to promt a response and start a conversation. Talk with people. Get to know them – their reason for marketing online. Share a bit of your life and ask about theirs. In other words – Make friends. People only join those who they know, like and trust.
If you have someone add you as a friend and the first thing you do is spam a link at them in the second chat message, people will either un-friend you, turn off notifications from you or run away. I know I would. Don't be like that. If you make a friend – even better if you can help them in some way, give them some free advise, they will know what programs you are in, if they ever look at them they will come back to you when they are ready. I know i do
For example, this is a conversation I had with a new contact last night. Now if “This Person” finds this post, please don't consider it an insult, I assume it is just because you don't know about attracting marketing yet, read it word for word and I hope you will realize that after chat line 3 I was never going to join it. Now here's the thing, if I wasn't watching a webinar at the time I wouldn't have wasted my time listening to a pitch-fest, but if you read it you can see that I played along a bit, I watched his video, declined then planted a few seeds that there might be something better out there. Gave him some valuable advise asked if he was open to looking at something or asked permission to send video. Now I have a 40% chance of him joining my team, If he actually watches the video, which I would be surprised if he did. My only mistake there was that I should have sent him to the lead capture page. My bad I was being a smart ass.
