If You Skip Step's You Will Not Sponsor Them
If you do not know your prospects core problems or life dreams, you might get lucky and guess one or two but more likely, you will not sponsor them. Then you need to present your primary business as a solution to their core problems or a way to achieve their dreams that they can not currently reach.
Use online tools or video's only, everything you do must be duplicatable and simple. The more complicated you make the process the less likely you will be to sponsor and more importantly duplicate.
Make a friend, share some of your dreams and desires in life and they will in return share theirs. Have a genuine goal to find a way to help, because if you help enough people get what they want, you will have what you want.
Note, there is no point “convincing” anybody as you will be seen as a salesman and even if the join, they are doing so to get you out of their face. They will not duplicate.
